Our Story

Growing up, I had a very unusual relationship with chocolate.
I wasn’t lactose intolerant, I was allergic to milk. That meant one thing: no milk chocolate, ever. My only option as a kid was very dark chocolate… and I’ll be honest, I hated it at first.

But over time, something changed. The bitterness that once felt overpowering became comforting. I started to appreciate the depth, the richness, the honesty of real cocoa. Eventually, dark chocolate became my favorite - I know, controversial.

Everything shifted in my teenage years during a trip to Switzerland. I visited a chocolate factory, and that was the moment I fell completely in love. The aromas, the craftsmanship, the purity of ingredients. It all stayed with me. That experience shaped the first element of Maison Jo’s OG product: a high-percentage cocoa chocolate that lets you truly taste chocolate the way it was meant to be enjoyed.

Being Lebanese, pistachios are a part of my culinary identity. Our desserts are often centered around pistachio - decorated with it, stuffed with it, elevated by its vibrant, unique flavor. So when the Dubai chocolate trend began, I was intrigued. But the first thing I noticed was the odd bright green color. And after tasting it, I realized something was missing: the bold, authentic pistachio taste I grew up with.

That’s where the second element of Maison Jo was born.

Instead of artificial pistachio cream, we use 100% real pistachio paste and generous pieces of real chopped pistachios. No shortcuts. No diluted flavors. Just the true essence of pistachio as it exists in our culture - rich, nutty, and unmistakably real.
